Ruh roh, runaway pup

   
    I finally had some time to take the dogs out for a long needed walk. I took a quick shower then pulled on my Off-Pants by LOB. Which btw are their recent free group gift. The group is free to join and they come with a colour changing HUD. That allows you to change the colour of the pants, waist/ankle bands, and the hanging strap. Then I tossed on a tank by FKD. It's also a freebie you can grab at their store. It is one of many free group gifts they have out and their group is free to join too. I took the dogs to the beautiful Rosewood Farms on our walk. Once I let them off their leashes Rollick decided to make a run for it. "Where'd he go Sable?.......There! Rollick, c'mere boy." Sable and I had a fun time playing hide and seek among the tall wild flowers and grass with rambunctious Rollick. That little pup had such a great time he fell asleep in the car on the way home. "Sable, I'm trying to type here. What is it?" Ugh!  time for me to go, looks like Rollick's got himself a new box suit. He's knocking over everything.  Go grab these freebies before they're gone. Emo

 
     We all got them days where you feel a bit Emo. Second Life gives us the ability to portray what we feel on the outside if we care too. I did just that when I picked up the free L'Homme group gift from Dura. This shaggy eye covering hair-do definitely gives off that Emo vibe. When my girlfriend told me about the free Access men's group gift from Breezy. This over-sized Tee and tied sweatshirt around the torso. I knew it would pair nicely with the Dura hair to add to my Emo look. A couple more accessories that are also free L'Homme gifts really topped off my Emo look. The neck tattoo by Bolson gives that air of I don't care. The bull nose, nose piercing by Realevil Industries has that bit of hard edge punk. The final piece is the Dagger blood drip earring by Codex that more or less says leave me alone. All in all I was able to pull an Emo look together for practically peanuts.   All this cause I happened to feel a bit Emo and brought it to life in Second Life. Post-Apocalyptic

    While the country slept it hit us. A static electrical pulse that put an end to life as we know it. Hitting not just one country, but the world at large. Tossing it into erratic chaos and shambles. We still don't know who did it or where is came from. It's been nearly five years since that very night. Now the world is a desolate nearly barren place. With know real leader or leaders, one must do what they have to, too survive.
    Oh! Hi, there. Sorry about that, but my outfit got me all caught up in a Post-Apocalyptic fantasy. By the way my entire outfit is comprised of freebies. All but the arms I happen to be carrying and the mask that is. So no free guns I'm afraid. Fear not, I'll tell you how and where to pick up everything else. When I saw the new  L'Homme group gift Contraption put out I knew I had to blog it.  With the amazing texture gradient going from black to red. It also gives it this dry-fit material look to. The most amazing part is this PC board, electronic type silver lines that run along the top and down the arms of the shirt. It gave me this sci-fi/ post-apocalyptic vibe. I had to build and entire outfit around it. I dug through my inventory and came up with this.
    You should of seen my surprise when I went to get landmarks for the pieces of my attire and found they are all free. The helmet I'm wearing comes from a store called Nana it is one of several group gifts they have at their store.  It's a great helmet, which has a built in re-sizer so you can make it fit any size head. It also comes with a HUD so you can change the colour of the ear holes, goggles, and straps. My pants are from a store called Power Design and they are parts of a freebie outfit the have out. These pants have this cool sorta leather metallic look to them. I found them the perfect pairing with this shirt. Finally the boots I'm wearing can be found at Adelle Arts. They are part of a free hunt prize. Adelle is having a coffin hunt at their store. You find the coffins and you get free outfits. There are five for men and ten for women. Please take note that these outfits are made for standard avatars. So some of the pieces you may not be able to wear if you're using a mesh body. I think finding a great pair of boots is well worth the little time it took me to find the coffin prize. Once I put this awesome look together I had to find the right place to make it come to life. I was able to do just that by heading over to The Wastelands. It's a Huge place covering several sims. Perfect for a post-apocalyptic, world ending, desert photography. Or if your into role playing check this place out either way. I know I'll be back to try and see it all and take a picture or two.

Hot in the City

    The neon lights of the big city came calling when I put on this animal printed texture blazer from BYRNE. I wasn't sure I could pull it off to be honest with you. It's a bit loud and shiny for my normal taste. I was able to put a look together that I think even Tony Manero would envy. It had me strutting down the street head held high. You can get your hands on this great blazer too. It's BYRNE August group gift. The group is free to join and she even puts out past gifts for a small price. If your looking for something different or want a really cool looking printed textured item, then BYRNE is the store for you.
    I was able to pair this sharp looking blazer with a couple other freebies to finish off this look. The undershirt I'm wearing is another group gift. It comes by way of a small store I stumbled upon while looking through the shops at 7DeadlySkins. The shop is called Esoteric Threads it sells both men and women's clothing. The group gift comes with a complete applier outfit. The undershirt which I'm wearing but in white. A black button shirt over that and some blue jean shorts. Any shirt applier you can find for free or cheap is a must have. They always come in handy when you need or want to put a shirt under a jacket or sweater. The Esoteric Threads group is free to join and the group gift is in a box next to the door. The pants and shoes (not shown) are also both freebies. They are from Kauna which still has a small pop up shop in the 1920's time portal. Everything in  this shop is free except for the pipe gacha. No group needed all you have to do is purchase for zero linden. That makes my entire outfit all freebies. Who says you can't look fashionably handsome for nothing? Enjoy the Ride

   
I was sitting the other day thinking it's been awhile since I been out biking. Real life has me busy these days, that I don't have much time to get in a good long bike ride. To be honest I haven't done that since I was into doing triathlons several years back. I found a place here in Second Life where one could go for a bike ride. What better way to go for a ride then in some freebie clothes? The shirt and facial hair I'm wearing are both free L'Homme group gifts out for their August Edition Magazine. This simple printed graphic tee is from Millo Cooperfield it comes in two colours. Black shown and white. The Facial hair is from Mister Razzor a neat mustache and a small beard that runs along the jawline. Perfect for a man who wants a bit of facial hair to entice the ladies. Not so much, it covers up those rugged good looks. The shorts I'm wearing are just part of Hoorenbeek's group gift that's out. This gift has it all, an island feel textured shirt, shorts, sandals, necklace, and bracelet;  It really is a complete outfit. Head on over to Hoorenbeek's and join their free group to grab it, before it's gone. The last freebie I have for you today are these awesome kicks. My sneakers are from Native Urban and one of many free Uber  5th Anniversary gifts. (Sorry to say Uber had like no gifts just for men. The sneakers is basically the only gift that had a male sizes in it) These sneakers are great they come with a big colour changing HUD to change different parts of the shoes. They'll match any outfit you wanna wear with them.
    I wanted to go for just a leisurely ride and enjoy it. Cycling in Bellesseria let me do just that. They have two bike loops. One is a short learning route and the other is a long route that takes you across several sims. I'll place pictures below of each route.

No need to worry about finding a bike to use. When you teleport in at the start you can rez a free bike like I did. The bicycle is relatively easy to use and has different speeds. If you wanna go slow, take in the neighborhood type scene, and just enjoy the ride. Or if you rather up the speed and see how fast you can take the route. If you like to rez your own bicycle, scooter, possibly even motorcycle. There are several different rez spots along the loop routes where you can do just that.

    You won't get lost on this bike ride. There is a HUD for each loop that you wear. It'll give you way points to keep you going along the right routes. Or you can pull up your map and go from there. I have to say I'll go back again and Cycling in Bellesseria. It's a quiet place and takes me back to being a kid. When your Mom told you to just stay around the neighborhood. The next  time you took off you ventured a bit further out on your bike. The Linden Homes set up in Bellesseria give it that small quaint neighborhood vibe. Go out and enjoy a ride here in Second Life. Who knows maybe you'll see me there.

Captured by a Book

   I wanted to go to a little coffee shop and read my book. I gave myself a fresh cut courtesy of Mister Razzor's new facial hair for the L'Homme group. Then I put on my L'Homme group gift by Meva. This bright summery orange outfit was perfect for my outing. You too can enjoy this facial hair and summer outfit. You just have to join the free L'Homme group and head to Mister Razzor and Meva to pick them up. Also the long parted hair I'm wearing is a free group gift from Dura. Their group is free to join as well. Once there you can pick up another L'Homme  gift Dura has out.  As you can see I didn't make it to the coffee shop. The beautiful scenery of the Frolixxx sim called to me. I found a quiet little spot next to the lake among the flowers and clover. There I was captured by my book and time seemed to stand still.

    Just a bit of poetry for you that represents the moment captured in this picture. That moment wouldn't be complete with out these matching Kimono's from Secrets of Gaia. My girlfriend Prudence and I revisited the Medieval Fantasy Hunt XIX - Realm of the Rising Sun.  When we saw the mystical crane texture of these Kimono's, we had to share them with you. The men's Tsuru Kimono only comes in Standard sizes. But it'll fit any mesh body with little to know alpha cuts enabled. The Chase

 
The Chase was on as I saw the black figure run from my neighbors apartment and down the fire escape. No, not really, I had you intrigued, didn't I? I'm here once again to tell you about some more freebie finds I tracked down. They come by way of Mischievous Mayhem Dumpster Diving Hunt. The great news is all the hunt gifts are free for this hunt. You just have to find the small dumpsters in participating stores. The clothes I have on are a couple of those gifts. The fashionably grungy fitted shirt is from Dragonmoon Designs. Comes in all of the well known mesh body sizes, standard sizes, and has a small colour change HUD. The pants are part of the outfit Mishmash Fusion is giving for their hunt gift. These sweet alternative/rock pants come in several mesh sizes and standard sizes a like. The last gift from this hunt I have for you is this great pose. DoggMatta Poses does it again. Bringing you another free pose pack and this time a scene to (Not pictured or used). This pose pack captures some dumpster diving moments, if you use the scene it comes with. My girlfriend Prudence and I had a date night recently. She took me to the Village Of Ahiru, lovely place. Wonderful for a serene, picturesque romantic evening. Imagine my surprise when we both showed up in Medieval Fantasy Hunt XIX gifts from Ropes Passions. The men's gifts is this great black shirt with a white Asian print on it.
